Location: Ljubljana, Slovenia

Task: Our task was to design a museum for well-known artist Alexander Calder, exhibiting both enormous standing and hanging sculptures.

The terrain on the location is declining. Besides, we were supposed to design a museum next to very important and protected old building of this city, facing its main dominant facade.

Design: We designed a museum under ground, with park on its roof, easily accessed by upper level of the terrain.

However, all sculptures are lit by natural light from skylight or from open-air atriums, depending on the type of the sculpture (hanging or standing).
